Al-Askari shrine must be well-introduced to pilgrims

‘Special Scientific and cultural activities should be carried out so that people realize the significance of Samarra shrine and what holy bodies rest on this land.’ Senior Shia scholar said.

Hawzah News Agency- senior Shia scholar Grand Ayatollah Hussein Vahid Khorasani had a meeting with Dr. Mohammad Qassim, the trustee of Al-Askari Shrine in Samarra, on June 13, in Qom during which the Grand Ayatollah praised the activities carried out in the holy shrines of Samarra in Iraq and stated, "Scientific and cultural activities should be carried out so that people appreciate the significance of Al-Askari shrine in Samarra and what holy body rests on this land.’

The senior cleric further added, ‘That is the house of Imam al-Asr (PBUH) and you must inform the pilgrims to know the Imam and his characteristics.’

It must be noted that at the end of the meeting, the flag of the Al-Askari shrine was presented to Grand Ayatollah Khorasani by the trustee of Samarra Shrine Dr. Mohammad Qassim.
